Our journey began on June 17th, when we packed up the cattle trailer we used to move, weighed the the trailer, determined it was too heavy to drive long distance, unloaded the trailer, weighed every box, removed a few very heavy items, and reloaded the trailer! We ended up leaving the following morning ready to get on the road.We had clear, blue skies the entire trip except for a total of about 20 minutes of downpour on the fourth day. The Lausen family from Cantwell Bible Church (CBC) sent backpacks for Connor and Samantha filled with fun activities to occupy their time during the drive. This was such a blessing as both children were actually looking forward to the trip!

We saw some wildlife on the second and third days, both in BC. The first was a BIG wolf that ran directly in front of our truck on the highway. Then we saw three individual black bears and one brown grizzly bear within the next 30 minutes! The next day we witnessed a herd of about 20+ bison, 6 mountain sheep, and 5 black birds that looked like the size of a cat! We were able to get a few pictures on the kids' disposable cameras, but haven't had them developed, yet.
Our Australian Kelpie, Cinder, traveled in a bed in the pickup and was so glad to have reached our destination on Wednesday morning at 2:00am. Our intention was to spend Tuesday night in Fairbanks and do a large grocery/misc. shopping trip before driving the three hours south to Canwell on Wednesday, but there were no lodging vacancies in the entire area (due to tourist season!), so we "speed shopped" and drove to our new home the same night. It was a very long day that had started in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory!

We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Please continue!
The Albers
